Tucker Toman - Wherever I Land

One of the top high school players in the upcoming 2022 MLB Draft, Tucker Toman has become one of the most talked about prospects given the impressive numbers he has showcased throughout his high school career. Impressing scouts throughout the pre-draft process, Tucker now prepares for the moment he hears his name called with the chance to play at the next level. As he prepares for when that time comes, he credits God for leading him to where he is and credits Him for all of his success.

A star for Hammond High School in South Carolina, Tucker committed to LSU to play collegiate baseball earlier in his high school career. As he prepares to decide whether to go to college or go pro, he will be guided by his faith. Tucker says faith has played a monumental role in his life both on and off the field since he was young, and it has played a substantial role in his development both on and off the field.

“I know and have seen that God is in control of every situation out there.”

Tucker says that has allowed him to trust in God’s plan for his life regardless of the circumstances.

“Through the ups and downs, I know that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. It is amazing to know and have that as life can bring some crazy times.”

On the field, Tucker is one of the best high school hitters there is. As he has made a name for himself with his bat, he says he hopes to glorify God with every chance that he gets.

“My biggest impact I want to make on people is for everyone to see Jesus through me.”

Tucker says that he hopes that carries into every part of his life, as he looks to treat others in the same way that Jesus would.

“I want to live and love like Jesus and make a positive impact on everyone I meet. I hope to show the goodness of God through anything that I do and show others that God loves you, no matter what!”

Tucker says that as he steps onto the field, he takes a moment to appreciate all the blessings that he sees around him.

“I have been blessed with the ability to play baseball by The Lord and I am forever grateful for that. I want to exemplify His name through anything I do in life and baseball gives me the platform to do that!”

Tucker says that knowing he has this platform around the game he loves gives him even more confidence as he prepares for whatever is ahead. Tucker says that he knows God is in control of his future, and he just hopes to be a vessel for Him wherever he lands.

With the draft just a day away, Tucker hopes to hear his name called in the first couple of rounds, with many experts expecting his bat to carry him into the 1st. While Tucker does not know what the future holds, he says he has complete confidence that he will end up just where God needs him. It will be there that Tucker will use every opportunity to love and care for others, just as Jesus would.
