A rising star in the world of volleyball, Nebraska commit Keri Leimbach is looking to make an impact both on and off the court. A committed athlete, a passionate competitor, and an always positive teammate, Keri is not just pursuing her dreams on the volleyball court; she is trusting her journey to God and His plan. “My faith is very important to me. My parents raised my sisters and me in a Christian home. Relying on God is a huge priority for me! I know there will be challenges and unknowns; however, faith and prayer help to keep my worry in check,” shares Keri. For Keri, volleyball is about much more than just what happens on the court and the wins and losses that result. Instead, volleyball also represents a platform to positively impact others. Her humility and servant’s heart acknowledge a broader purpose at play. “God gave me the ability to play volleyball and has opened doors for me. He provided me a love for the game and a spirit to compete,” she reflects. “I am a child of God who has a passion for the sport of volleyball. I will lean on Christ in all of the joys, celebrations, struggles, and frustrations,” she says. This reliance on her faith has become Keri’s guiding light, steering her through the highs and lows that accompany a sports career. In the midst of both the joys and the struggles, Keri finds solace in prayer, trusting that God’s plan is unfolding, even when the path might seem unclear. As Keri approaches her days on the court of the Devaney Center in Lincoln, her impact extends beyond the confines of the game. With a positive spirit and infectious joy, Keri’s influence promises to continue on and off the court for years to come.
